Uplyme responded with a free kick from Anthony Simes which went over the bar.

Simes was then narrowly wide with a great shot from 25 yards.Colyton took the lead on 32 minutes with a low shot just inside the post, following confusion in the Uplyme defence. Sam Jones shot narrowly wide to leave Colyton 1-0 up at the break.
Colyton had an early chance at the start of the second half but shot wide of goal. A good shot from Johnnie Turner was well saved by the Colyton keeper. Uplyme were searching for an equaliser but Colyton were proving a strong defensive unit at the back. However, six minutes into the half the equaliser came following a foul on Simes on the edge of the box. Jones delivered a superb free kick to the near post where Matty Pile lost his marker and rose to head the ball into the roof of the net.
Colyton rallied and Brett James made a great save to keep the scores level. The game was ebbing from end to end as both sides went for victory. Turnerís shot across goal just eluded the far post. With twelve minutes remaining Colyton were awarded a penalty for a hand ball. The ball was well struck towards the corner but James had anticipated the shot and dived full length to save at the post and then gather the ball.
The penalty save lifted Uplyme who were now being buoyed up by their vociferous supporters and two minutes later they took the lead following a good passing movement into the box between Jones and Kyle Knight which culminated in Jones hooking the ball over the keeper. With two minutes remaining Jones and Knight linked up well again and Jones curled a great shot into the corner.
Colyton reduced the arrears in the final minute when James did well to keep out a free kick, but Colyton were first to the loose ball and hammered it home to make the final score 3-2 to Uplyme. Brett James was named Uplymeís Man of the Match.
