Committee Meeting held at the club on Monday 13th September

Present P Messer, D Norman, M Brimicombe, D Wellman, A Mason

Apologies, N Price, BJ Rattenbury, John Hunt , Jerry Sims.

Minutes of last meeting 9th August accepted
Matters arising. A number of players did not pay subs this season.
Thanks were received from the RNLI in the form of a certificate for
monies presented after the charity match. To be put in a frame.

Presidentís statement of resignation. After 50 years association with the club, Andy Mason announced with regret that he was stepping down as President. This is a result of an embarrassing Patrons and Sponsors day where there seemed to have been little effort from the club to prepare for the day.

A discussion followed reflecting on the poor attitude and lack of commitment shown by members to the club.

It was decided to cancel the presentation evening as very few nominations for awards had been made and the Talbot had refused to host the event due to an incident that took place after the last presentation evening. It was decided to hold the presentations and the 100 Club draw at the AGM.

The AGM will be held in the clubhouse on Thursday 7th October at 7pm

EC to write to all members and urge them to attend if they care about the future of cricket at Uplyme.

Jerry Sims will be asked to ensure that the Sunday side take down the sightscreens after the last game of the season this weekend.

EC will ask Alan Booth to relay the drainage pipe adjacent to the square.
Billy White and John Hunt will put the square to bed for the end of the season.
