|Minutes of the committee meeting. 7th March 2011

Minutes of last meeting.
Matters arising. All actions completed successfully
Repairs. Scorebox M Brimicombe given max £150 to reclad and paint score box. Will start work Sunday 3rd April. Help from members appreciated.
Pavillion. Awaits the outcome of asbestos investigation. When given the all clears work will begin. If there is an asbestos problem experts will have to be employed to clear it.
All work to be covered by insurance. Roof tiles and skin have been repaired.
Ground Update Drainage ridge is still evident. Action E Clarke to ask advice of Alan Booth who laid the drainage pipe.
J Hunt will be cutting and scarifying soon
Storage shed has been tidied and rubbish is ready to be removed. Skip has been ordered.
J Hunt has applied for a groundsman course and is awaiting confirmation.
Sit on mower sent for service and second mower sent for repair as back up to main mower.
Sponsorship. New sponsors coming in but more always welcome especially for match balls. R Thom to approach Prime Time
Membership Blank forms given to A Caddy to chase potential members. Forms will also be sent out electronically. Players encouraged to come to nets in March and sign on.
NETS BEGIN ON THURSDAY 10 MARCH 5.45 TO 7PM AT WOODROFFE COST £2. £20 MEMBERSHIP FEE TO BE PAID AT NETS. By the end of March we should know the full playing membership of the club
Dates Sunday 14th to Sunday 21st August Cricket Week with Presidents Day on Sunday 21st.Action E Clarke to arrange fixtures for cricket week. A Caddy to select club team to play Presidents XI
Candles on the cricket ground. Saturday 17th September. Mrs Ethelstonís pupils to be asked to arrange the candles and to light them at the end of the game. Action E Clarke to discuss with Mrs Ethelstonís.
Club nights in the season. Agreed that the 1st XI and the 2nd XI will host two BBQ club nights each during the season May 21st and 23rd July 1st XI, 25th June and 27th August 2nd XI.
Baggy Green Caps 125th anniversary caps will be ordered @ £15
A Caddy and R Thom will investigate 125th polo shirt.
A Caddy will book 125th anniversary presentation dinner at the golf club with speaker, [Peter Lever], comedian, auction, and band. Cost £25 per head.
125th club photo to be arranged.
GROUND PREPARATION . All members asked to help on Sunday 17th September
10 .30 am to prepare the ground and pavilion for the season.
