Uplyme Parish Council’s planning officer, John Duffin, wondered at this month UPC meeting if the lack of planning applications was an indication of a coming recession. He said that the average number of applications per month was about 18. This month it is down to just one. Will you email Gordon Brown or shall I _________________ It's later than you think |

So if Blair announces that he will stay the distance we have the reluctant developers of Uplyme to blame. Geoff help _________________ It's later than you think |

it didn't stop me building my driveway this week !
Personally, I believe that a lot of recessions, downturns and other economic phenomena are press-created. There is far too much theorising, speculating and sensationalising in the press and not enough factual reporting IMHO. (Better stop ranting, I'm getting off topic.)
